I am using a file transfer program and ive got 2mb connection, i used to download fast speed but now i get 5kb. my firewall is not blocking it and there is no problem with my line can someone plz help.
The source may be slow, do all your files download @5kb per second? What is the name of the "file transfer program" that you're using?
Truth can become lie, but if lies become truth we're in trouble.

i recommend you use a 'modem booster'. do a search on google and get it set up. it considerably speeds up your connection. your slow speeds may be a result of the p2p program limiting your download speed due to the low number of uploads you have, some like kazaa have this policy. nonetheless, like rwn said, it might just be the source.
