what does file tffsport.sys is corrupt mean? if you can be bothered take a look at my other post below this one. this is doing my head in! anymore advice would be much appreciated.

It means that the file is corrupt, so the computer can't load it. It's some sort of port driver - you can download a copy of it here.

If this relates to the same system as your last post, however, I reckon you've got bigger problems than that, and your time might be better spent trying to extract what you can from your hard drive before re-formatting and re-installing.

Such is the way of old computers, I'm afraid (and I would know!)

If you've got access to another computer, install your hard drive as a second drive and you should be able to copy any documents, e-mail etc. that you need.

If you're going to do that, make sure your second computer has up-to-date antivirus, spyware, etc. and scan everything before you move it.

Er.. no. I'm sure that theoretically there is a way to do it, but for non-experts such as myself, it needs to be another PC.
