File Sharing w/XP and 2000

I am attempting to file share between three computers, each running a different operating system: XP, 2000 and NT. My problem is that the 2000 and NT systems always ask for a username and password but I don't want to require this. Am I missing some setting on the XP box that's requiring a login on the other two? I've got a router that all are connected to and I eventually would like to share a printer for the three but right now I just want all to be able to share files.

you could enable 'Full Control' to the 'Everyone Group' on the XP machine, that should allow the other 2 machines to connect ok but makes your pc vulnerable if you use the internet alot, have you tried creating conputer accounts on the XP machine for the other 2 pc's?.

Thanks for your help, I'll try that tonight. I am not going to be too concerned w/ Internet usage for the moment. We really just want all users to be able to access files w/o using a password at this point. Then we'll deal w/the Internet and security.
Again, thanks for your help.
