I recently reinstalled xp and everything works well except when I open certain files I get a really long delay in which my system partially freezes. I can navigate windows that are already open, but can't open new ones. After about a minute, the file I executed will open and everything is back to normal. Any ideas?

There was another post recently where the person
had a slow computer after a reinstall.
After several replies from others, he found that
DEFRAG fixed his own problem.

Hey thanks for the reply. I already defragged everything though. I'm using Executive Software Diskeeper to defrag.
