Hi there, long time reader, first time poster. I got a problem I dont see any way of solving. Winlogon.exe has a lock on a folder c:\program files\xerox\nwwia. I dont remember what program put that folder there. I cant shut down winlogon.exe without the system rebooting. I tried a bart pe boot cd to boot windows off a cdrom, but the lock was still on. How do I make winlogon.exe release the lock? Or alternatively what the heck is program files\xerox\nwwia all about? I think it came with an Oracle product I was looking at but Im not sure. The folder is empty of all files - the lock is on the nwwia folder. Any help appreciated.

that is a file that comes with xp. i think it is a default folder for cameras or something. But anyway, if you want to delete it you have to disable your system file checker. if you do this you can erase anything so be careful

keep me updated. i wanna know if my advice is helpful or not. Use alert me.
