Recently started to do some computer work for my small town.Have an xp home and a 98semachine on the network.The xp machine has a couple programs that they need to run on both,they run fine until the file attributes get changed by windows xp.After resetting them within 5 minutes they are changed back.I do not understand this can anyone help. Scott

Maybe start a new post and tell us which attributes and on which file and/or folders you are trying to change. It might be something the system is doing to lock a file for use so that something doesn't get corrupted...
