Recently bought new base unit, came with xp installed...Many problems ensued...all but one fixed..
MY FECKING KEYBOARD THINKS IT'S AMERICAN.
Hence @ and " have switched places and the Pound symbol has completley disappeared.
Which is a bit of a pain, especially as I use the PC to print invoices.
How do I make it realise it's ENGLISH?

Try the Control Panel, "Regional + Language Options.

Just a suggestion, switch the Control Panel to Classic View.

Have you tried adjusting the Keyboard settings in the Control Panel?

I'm assuming this is not one fo those fancy keyboards with push button access for the internet and such. I believe those have their own set of drivers that MAY clear up your problem.
