faxmodem driver

I just ran windows update and now my modem will only connect at a 28.8 speed. driverguide and driverhq takes me to the US robotics website which has drivers for this modem but none that work for XP. I would like drivers for a 56k faxmodem model 3cp5699a. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Was your modem working properly before the Win update? Maybe try rolling back the driver or choosing a system restore point to roll back the system before the update...just a suggestion.
