I have an old 28.8 modem from Microcom, (compaq bought them out)... and faxing works just great even in XP with the old WinFax 98 version. Now that I have XP however, I would like to use the internal fax software. This software does not work with my modem though... and I don't know how to configure it, any ideas?

Just installed it and it works, but I did have some probelms open up your fax councel. then to Tools Configure fax then use the the wisard to configure. to make a fax just click on the File, then new fax. the problem was the after I installed the modem it didn't see the modem, I had to uninstall the modem then install the modem after I installed the MS fax BTW the fax program works great! Thanks too, I was about to go and buy a fax program in the next few weeks, Now I dont' have to.
