Suddenly on the command bar in I.E. ver8.0 WindowsXP SP2 I have favoirites with a star icon on the far left hand side at the top of of the internet explorer ? I already have the favorites option listed on the second bar from the top I would like to remove just the star and the favorites listing with out disabling the command bar. I had it that way and I inadvertantly activated this favorite with the star icon and now I cannot find a way to disable it ? Any help greatly appreciated !
Thank in Advance to All

Well I understand why no one replied to my ? on how to remove the favorites star icon on the toolbar in I.E. version 8 ! After doing extensive searching for an answer I found this referance to my ? >
The 'favourites' button cannot be removed AFAIK. The 'favourites bar'
>> however (the star icon etc) can be removed by right clicking on the star
>> and removing the 'tick' mark from the box next to the 'favourites bar'
>> option.
I learned how to perform other things you can do by trying to find a way to remove this star icon which when you put a tick mark in the option for favorites it adds a second star right next to the one I want to remove ,really bad design on Microsofts side ,and to make it even worst they do not give you the option to remove both of them if you wish ? Prehaps there is a way thru the registry however no one has listed how ,so Iam going to learn to live with it . I could have sworn that star was not their ,perhaps that was in a previous version of I.E.
Take Care Nick
