Specs: Windows XP, 3200+ / 1gb
Hi,

These are the specs of my desktop Pc :

2 x 512mb DDR400 kingston
Chaintech 7NJL1APOGEE
160gb IDE Samsung HDD
ATI Radeon 9550 128mb AGP
LG DVDRW IDE

Windows recognised the onboard audio at C-Media CMI8738 Audio Chip. No sound.

Is the onboard audio faulty ?

Thanks

We need details please...

Has the sound ever worked?
Are the speakers plugged in?
Are the speakers connected to the right port?
Is the volume turned up in both Windows and on the speakers?
Is the volume muted?
Did you check to see if "Wave" is turned up by double-clicking on the speaker icon in the tray?

Try this go to the start menu. Scroll to your my computer
and right click it with you mouse. roll down to properties and
click it. click the hardware tap and click device manager
button. You should get a list of components, but look for a
yellow question mark next to any of them. If a Yellow ? is
present you need a driver for that device. So their might be
one next to you audio section. Try it, if theirs nothing then
you good as far as you driver.
