ok, this is a bit of a strange one, i hope someone can help me with this because iam beat. about a month ago, i installed a game, i cant remember exactly which one but after installing it, i played the game, then decided i wanted to install a few other features on the CD, i inserted the CD...nothing happened, i opened up "My Computer" and double clicked on the CDROM, the screen froze and i had to force it to quit the application, anyway..long story short, i gave up and reformatted my hard drive after testing for virus, spyware, registry check and nothing came back. now the same thing has pretty much happened again, i installed Battlefields 2, working fine...again...wanted to install a few more features and my pc will not let me open up the CD anymore, but this time it seems to be just Battlefields CD, i have tried a few other games, but it really doesnt seem to like this CD for some reason, does anyone please have any answers, as i dont particularly want to reformat my drive again. Thank you P.s i have checked cable connections before anyone asks. lol

It could be just that the single cd is now naff, and with the difficulty in reading by th e cd-rom drive explorer gets annoyed in waiting for a response and chews up the page. As you said other cds have installed correctly, try it in another computer.
