My Internet Explorer keeps failing with this error and I am lost as to what needs to be done to resolve this,
Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module lameacm.acm, version 0.0.9.0, fault address 0x00003e3b.
Thank you, leto the just.

First, this is NOT an Internet Explorer problem. Explorer.exe is the base shell for Windows (your desktop, Start menu, and My Computer). IE has nothing to do with this particular error.
Second, it looks like the problem is with the LAME codec. Try this:
Open System Properties by right-clicking My Computer and go to Properties. Now go to the Hardware tab and then click the Device Manager button. In the Device Manager, expand the "Sound, video and game controllers" entry, then double-click the Audio codecs entry. In the new window, go to the Properties tab. In the list look for "lameacm.acm". If it is there, select it and click the Remove button. Click Yes and OK all the way back out. Restart your computer and see if the problem comes back.
