I was wondering if anyone could tell me about games and how they run on the different file systems. Currently I have a dual boot system with Me and XP. The only partition I have set up with the NTFS file system is the XP partition. Everything else is Fat 32 so Me can see it. I'm considering going with an XP system only with everything in the NTFS file system. Are there any problems with running games (especially older ones)on the NTFS file system? Are there many speed benefits to the NTFS sytstem? About a month ago many of my games stopped playing. Anything that changes the screen resolution has started to crash. I've tried updating drivers, changing video cards, running the compatability wizard and clicking on game icons to get them to run in 640 mode or 256 color. All to no avail. Any info is much appreciated........Troy

To the gentleman or lady who posted about wanting to dual boot ME and XP: The smartest thing for you to do is to pack up your computer and take it back. Anyone who WANTS to use Windows ME doesn't know enough to use a computer.

All joking aside, I wouldn't recommend anyone use WinME. I would just boot to XP and be happy with that. Format the WinME partition or drive and then have lots more room for (il)legal software, music and games.
