Failure to load windows

OS: Windows XP
CPU/Ram: Athlon 1800+/256
Comment:

When trying to turn on the computer, the keyboard lights and fan turn on and off. There is no keyboard response or monitor activity. Cant access safe mode because keyboard has no effect.

If you're not getting anything on the monitor then you have a hardware problem somewhere.

Do you have any experience building / upgrading PC's ??

If not it will be much easier for you to take it into a local repair shop.

If you do, tell us what you've already tried.
