My comp. started to do several restarts, now
it wont start windows.
It will boot from my resq. cd, I have tried to
reinstall, my desktop came fine, but I got the failure Driver ... and then it started all over again, and it does so, whenn I (it is not every time) manage to go into safe mode, I get the failure message again.
Every comments are VERY welcome

When you are at the safe mode, right-click My Computer, then click Advanced tab.

Click Startup and Recovery button and then click Settings.

Click to clear Automatically Restart checkbox.

Next time you restart Windows, you will not end up in an endless loop of restarting. This way you can see and note the error messages.

Go to your Device Manager and try to locate which hardware is causing driver problems / conflicts.

By the way, what is the failure / error message you are getting ?

Please also see the ff MS Knowledgebase article which may be helpful.

Hope the above helps.

tks both, the problem is, that I cant go into my win-screen, it pops up nicely, but restarts sofort, I have tried in recovery-mode in fail-safe and all the other modes, so every help that involve something I have to do under windows cant be done.
my comp. have worked fine for 5 month, I have tried to take all hardw. out.
strange I can do all the commands in the rescure cd. chkdsk. etc. so the comp. should be OK?

You can get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error from many causes, but sometimes it can be just because the ram module contacts are not getting a good connection - this worked for me when I got that error:

See response 2 in this - try cleaning the contacts on the ram modules.

If you can get into Safe Mode Command Prompt, then you can type in

C:\Windows\System32\restore\rstrui.exe

to start System Restore from Boot Screen by pressing F8 after you restart your PC, to restore your PC to a time when your PC has worked properly.

If your Windows installation directory is not " C:\Windows ", then type in your Windows install path.
