Are you logged in with admin privileges or a limited user account? regedit.exe file should be located in your C:/Windows folder. Is it there and if so can you start it manually rather than from the Run box in your Start menu? Goin' Fishin' (Some day)

Dear Richard, 1). Yes, I am log in using admin privileges and I can locate regedit file in C:\windows\regedit as instructed by you. I manage to run it using windows explorer. 2). Is there any solution that I can get back using my regedit through " run " command as usual? 3). regedit.exe has been deleted from your system, probably by some malware infection. insert your windows XP cdrom and copy regedit.exe from the folder i386 to your local disk C:, into the folder windows
