Need to restore to factory settings, cd drive is not operating at the moment. don't want to install the new one til i restore. how do i do a factory reset?

am i getting my timing on the ctrl + F11 deal wrong or something? i've been trying, but it won't let me access pc restore.

Well it means that some thing is wrong in your hard drive. can you tell Us what is the model of the computer that you are trying to restore. Also are you sure that it's a laptop not a desktop?
