When I press F2 at starting up my PC, an error occurs which says the Keyboard is faulty or not connected. I want to check my Bios settings for I have no sound or no sound card is detected on reinstalling XP

If you press F2 to early, most computer do print an error message like "Keyboard is faulty or not connected".

also if that doesn't solve it try unplugging the keyboard and turning on the computer. Then it will give you an error. Turn it off and plug the keyboard back in. Sounds stupid but this has worked for me.

Also i've had issues with this when it was a wireless keyboard.

If you're using a USB keyboard, try switching to PS/2.
