Specs: Windows Vista ultimate (32 bit), ddrII 4096

i use an Hp pavilion dv4 1145 go with vista ultimate (32 bit ) and i had to format my C drive due to a virus problem and i had not created a recovery disc...now i have reinstalled vista but i do not have recovery manager... is there anyway i can download the recovery manager?? and its not working when I press F11 i dont know what to do to restero my system can anybody give a hand

This is the WinXP forum. There is a Vista forum.

How did you go about the formatting? Did you wipe the drive with something first? If you wiped the entire drive then you no longer have a recovery partition and that is why F11 may not be working.

Possible that you need to purchase more CDs to get what you want, as if you had a new harddrive. They then would install the Manager and the OS. Then after that, the Recovery CD would work.

then tick what information you want to know,
then proceed from there.

Yes get Recovery CD'S from HP. If you get lucky you can have them sent free. Just tell them you feel like HP/Compaq should send disk and not make the customer make there own disk at the customers expense thats stubborn I know but thats how I feel. Tell them you will contact the CEO Mr.Heard thats what I did and I got them free L.O.L . And the disk should rebuild the recovery partition thats how it did on my Compaq desktop.
