I used 7z to decompress a movie and windows media player still won't play it - how do i play this movie?

Right click on the movie file > Properties & tell us the file format.

DVDSCR.XviD-KLAXXON but it used to have .rar at the end.

And now i have a bunch of the stupid file: file types are windows media player (.rar) and video clip (.avi)

You probably need to download the xvid codec.

I did already, that was the first thing i did! do i have to do something with that codec or will it just do it's thing like my other codecs?

Huge amount of options available, maybe converting it to another format is the way to go. Copy & paste a copy of the file into another folder, so you have one to experiment on.
