I need help i have a celeron pentium 3 1.3 ghz with 416 mb of ram with windows xp. I have a cd burner, cd rom, 20gb hard drive and, zip drive. My mother board has two 5.25 slots that each can hold a slave and master device. this makes a total of four 5.25 devices but i allready have four hooked up. all of my ide slots are taken but i want to add a slave hard drive. Is there any way to do this with out losing any of my other devices?

So no more available bays? I don't think you can add any more 5.25 devices in there. At least not that I know of. Why don't you take the cdrom out? You have a cdrw drive, so that would do. It's better to copy a CD's contents to a hard drive first and then burn it anyway.

If you really want to hang on to all that you now have, then you'll have to get a PCI controller card and hook up the new drive (or one of the existing ones) to it. Doesn't your case have a 3.25 slot which the hard drive would fit in?
