Comment:

I have an external USB hard drive saegate 80gig. When I plug it in it sees the USB connection and recognises the Hard drive I can see it in devices but not in explorer or disk management.
When I go into devices I can see the Drive with external written next to the label. When I go to properties volumes populate It tells me that the drive is unreadable. What does this mean??? I works fine as a secondary slave when connected to the IDE bus.

Its an 80 gig seagate

And heres another thing. I put a 4.3 gig seagate in and it sees it fine all i had to do was initiate and format

Please explain???
