External USB Hard Drive trouble

Recently I upgraded from 98 to XP. Now my external usb hard drive is not being recognized by the OS when it is plugged in. Everything worked fine before the switch. I've tried to find a XP driver for this model on the manufacturer's web page but with no success. Any ideas? The hard drive is a BUSLink External USB Drive (L13/13GB)
This supposedly is a file for all Buslink products. However, there should be no problem connecting it in the first place, since XP is supposed to have built-in drivers for USB (hence Buslink saying their driver software was for 98SE). I can't help you much there (though you probably will need your Windows disk), but try this to begin with.

Is your drive set for Master, Slave, or Cable Select.
Maybe XP is more particular or different than Win 98 in that area.
