I have 2 questions, I recently purchased a external hardrive to use with my computer. I would like to make 3 partions in it to store pictures in one, backup my cpmuter in a another and then my wife's laptop in the 3rd. How do I partiion mmy external drive to do this. Also, my HP has tqwo partions in it. One has my winxp and current programs. It is about 105 gigs. The second partion is 10 gigs and has has a restoration should my computer crash. is there a way to move this to my external harddrive also. Then If I do that is there a way to remove this extra partion 10 gig partion in my HP and make it one big 115 gig partion.

never mess with the utility partition. Restore via pc won't work unless its where its at now.
Consider Ghost or Acronis clone software for those backups of your pc and laptop.

Yep, you need a disk tool like PM, but personally I prefer DiskDirector for ex. These tools can format the external drive as well as the HDD; create partitions, clone partitions from one drive to another.
