I purchsased an external hard drive to make space on my computers hard drive. The question I have is this: can I install Photoshop and Elements( 2 very bloated programs) directly on my external hard drive? Will they work correctly or do they need to go to my main harddrive. i am not sure if there are files that need to be on my C:/ Drive to operate. I also want to move some of my game files to the extrenal drive also. Are there any problesm associted with doing this? Thanks in advance

There will be some files that have to be on the system drive, and with Photoshop quite a lot I should imagine.
Running an application from an external drive is going to be very slow. Even the fastest external drive is going to be a lot slower than an internal drive.
External drives are really designed as a portable mass storage device. They are not really designed as replacement for internal drives.
