Comment:

I was wondering if anyone has tried the new Segate 120GB External Hard Drive? I saw it at Walmart for $149.00. This seems to be a great price, but I can't find any reviews on it yet.
Any info would be appreciated.
TIA

I have a friend who owns an external seagate harddrive, and he likes it quite well.

However, the problem with externals is they usually connect through a USB port, which sometimes can give you issues. My experience with usb ports has been pretty shotty, especially when trying to hook up printers/harddrives. Seagate, though, makes pretty good stuff.

If the option is available to you, I would buy a seagate *internal* harddrive. But if you have issues that would prevent you from doing that, the external would be just fine. (or if you were looking for something to use as storage that you could take with you..)

Anyways, sorry this review wasn't specific to the product you had in mind. If nothing else I would be wary of buying hardware at Walmart =P
