Hi
I have an external Hard Drive 30GB. It used to work fine but now when I plug it in the light turns on and Windows says it has foun new hardware but it may not work properly. The Hard Drive is not listed in My Computer or Device Manager. I have tried it on other computers but it does the same. I have also tried it with a different USB but still no luck. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I can't find any drivers on the net as XP is meant to install them itself except it is not doing it on this. Thanks

Hi, Sounds like a SP2 problem as read the same problem in PC mag. Go to microsoft.com and then support. Put in 885464 in search and there is your problem. They have a hot fix to solve it. Will need a validation of your XP but then should be able to get the fix. Hope it sorts it for you.
