I am using a GeForce4ti4200 graphics card, on the VGA output I have a SONY VPL-S500U projector, on the DVI I have a 19" monitor, also set as the primary video display. I can view and run programs on the seconday display, but when I try and watch a DVD movie, using CyberLink DVD XP, I cannot see the video displayed on the projector, I get the DVD player window, filled with black. If I drag the window back to the primary monitor, the video shows up as normal, I would like to be able to watch a movie without having to switch the primary display and logout/login everytime that I decide to watch a movie, any suggestions?

You may find that the screen format for the DVD Player is 'out of range' for the Projector.
Most DVD software players run at a relatively low resolution, a mere 640 x 480 in some cases, which possibly is unacceptable to the SONY.
Try to set up the DVD player program to 'fit' the SONY's input needs.

Most DVD's will not allow you to output it to the TV since they are assuming that you are attempting to make a duplicate copy of the DVD, copy protection SOB's >:-(
I can hook the projector directly up to my computer or set the projector as the primary display and it will work, but if I try to do anything at the same time, it continually places the newly opened program over top of my movie, not to mention it's an annoyance to try to logout/login everytime you switch primary displays.

I did a search on MS's website regarding this issue, I usually try to avoid their site, cause it gives stupid generic explanations as to why something it happening... Once again I was proved right... It tells me that there is an issue with Direct Draw and the extended desktop, although it lists a couple of possible solutions they don't work.
