Since about 2 weeks ago, a message would pop up with the following:
Title: Explorer.exe - No disk
Message : There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive E:.

buttons to push: Cancel , Try Again, Continue.

This message started to appear before i had reformated my computer, and now after reofrmating it has started poping up again at random times. I notice that it pops up a lot when the windows screen sorta "flashes" like it does sometimes (desktop icons disappear then re-appear really fast). Other times it has come up like when i was making my winamp visulization full-screen, or even emptying the recycle bin. It first started when i was starting up half-life. But now, it even appears when i installed quicktime and started that up. Does anyone know what caused this? and how i can get rid of this MAJOR ANNOYANCE. I have to click cancel or continue about 5 times to get the message to go away, or restart to fix the problem. heres a picture i took when it happend to show an example: http://www.freewebs.com/computersrule/explorrer.JPG

Have you run a virus scanner on your machine. There's a virus that duplicates Explorer.exe. You can get a good FREE one from www.grisoft.com. It's called AVG anti virus.

I am having the same problem at the moment, I have checked for viruses - nothing.
Can anyone shed some light on the situation?
