Comment:

It only happens when I right click on a folder to copy it along with holding the shift key to choose a .wav file with it.
Explorer.exe crashed and writes an event id 1000. Also the error is in module msvcrt.dll. When I go to http://www.generation.net/~hleboeuf/errexplo.htm it tells me to uninstall cleansweep and other program as ad aware but none of theses are on the computer. The error reads Explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created

et: a few ideas;

1. expand msvcrt.dll from your cab files;
click Start, Run, type: cmd
at the Command Console prompt, type:

expand d:\i386\msvcrt.dll c:\Windows\system32\msvcrt.dll

and press the Enter key.
Note: if the cab files are on the hard drive, replace d:\i386 with c:\i386

2. memory test your RAM using MemTest 86 downloaded from:

http://www.memtest86.com

3. if error persists, try a system restore.

let us know what worked for you...

hello,
I found out what was the problem.
Whe I install Microsoft Plus Pack for windows xp from the cd everythings works fine, it's as soon as I install the Microsoft Plus Pack Update available at http://www.winxpfix.com/Windows-XP-update-&-addons.htm that many things starts to go bad. So I have deinstall the update and kept just the original pack available on cd.
