Explorer.exe chewing cpu time. help

OS: XP Pro
CPU/Ram: P4 2.4Gig/762mb

Hello,
when i boot it works fine till i open windows explorer.exe. Then explorer.exe process chews all cpu time. it may have to do with this d.exe worm. I tried SpybotSD, HJThis, and manually removing from registry and file sys. still does it... im all out of ideas. :-(

Please can anyone help me?!?!
