My desktop computer will allow me to log on but no files will show up on the desktop and the start menu bar wont either. it's just the background we have set and then it gives an error message.

Windows Sockets initialization failed

Rundll
Error loading Windows\System 32\wajhcwp.dll

C:\Progra~1\Common~1\lmo\lmoa.exe

What do i do to fix this?

From within Task Manager you can do the New Task... button. Have you tried doing explorer.exe ???

Possible you have an infected computer.
A web search for wajhcwp.dll yielded nothing.

Most Virus and Spyware scans are likely to work better in Windows Safe-Mode.

Taskbar and Icons missing:

Try this:

(Original Message, and Response Number 1 looks like a fix?)

Also try this:
http://www.computing.net/windowsxp/...
and
http://www.computing.net/windowsxp/...
(That one is a special Posting someone made of how he fixed it.)

Another fix is un-quarintene explorer in Spydoctor.

Some require the download of a VBS file.
So, read at the top of that page--
"How to use a VBS file"
Go to line 195 in right column.
