Reply: I have the same problem on one client's PC. Office apps will open but that is pretty much it. All other application or just windows explorer windows won't open. In fact, just the application windows cannot be seen. In task manager I can see the running processes of those apps I launched. I searched for viruses, spyware and everything I could thing of, also did sfc /scannow as was mentioned in the thread and reinstalled Windows but nothing really helped. I tried to run System Restore but the window of course won't appear either. Any ideas?

Reply: According to your last post I tried to login as other user with admin rights that already existed on that computer and everything works. Before I didnt even realized there were more users available, cause that computer is using the standard login window. I will try to delete the former user account that failed and post back.
