Comment:

Whenever my explorer.exe crashes or I stop it, it sets my taskbar back to default settings, like no more WMP toolbar or quicklaunch and it changes all the customized notifications (icons in the tray) to the Hide When Inactive setting. I recently installed CC-Cleaner about a week ago. I checked through it but I didn't see anything that would involve this problem. I've restarted and everything, and I can take the time to reset all my settings after a crash happens, but it's really quite a nuisance. Help is appreciated.

No time for love, Dr. Jones!

Hello EL Klandero, if the problem started after you installed CCleaner, then i would not use it for a few days, a week maybe.
Then, use it again, if it crashers again, problably likely that CCleaner is deleting a file needed.

Have you installed anything else?

Post back after you have checked tif its CCleaner.

You could untick one after the other, the types of folders CCleaner empties till you find the correct one, and leave that unticked. I would do this after first identyfying if CCleaner is at fault.
