Hi, I am using IE7...WMP11 The problem I am having is: 1- I have 2 partitions on my drive...C&D 2- On my D drive, when I open it and try to play an Avi file I get first a wmp error that it has to close the modname: qdv.dll and the technical information is: C:\DOCUME~1\Susan\LOCALS~1\Temp\760b_appcompat.txt 3- Then I get the same error and it says that IE has to close I have re-registered the qvd.dll successfully but still have the same problem. I did a system restore, still no joy Does anyone have an idea how to correct these errors? Thanks Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Do you get the same error with real player?

I don't use real player, actually I tried opening up the avi file with Power DVD and got the same error Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Where did you get the file?

I made it with my pinnacle studio, I use them for mastering DVD's. I may have fixed the problem (hopefully) I deleted all the avi files from D drive and defragged and so far the problem hasn't re-occured. If it does I'll post back.
