Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2800.1221, faulting module msvcrt.dll, version 7.0.2600.1106, fault address 0x000327fc.

Message comes from Event Viewer.

This causes my explorer to ab-end killing most of my running process... The only action the system takes is to send error report.

To get my killed processes back (most of them in the task bar) I must reboot.

My Windows XP is pre-installed (I don't have an XP CD), so I can't recover my dll files or repair XP.
Please advise.

dave if u do not have a win xp cd i will give you two other options.hope one of them works..:)
A
1)1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
2)On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 Click Add/Remove, click "Repair the current installation of Internet Explorer", and then click OK.

if this doesnt work then..
1)search for the msvcrt.dll file in your drive.
2)rename it as msvcrt.old
3)now download the msvcrt.dll file from

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcrt
4)copy the donloaded file to the same folder where the msvcrt.old is situated.

good luck
