CPU/Ram: 2.0gh 1.2gb

ok i keep on having this problem from time to time. im in a folder orginizing my files when i want to make a new folder. so i right click and move my mouse to "new" and bam my screen go to my wallpaper and everything els desapears. when it finally comes back (2sec or so) all my explorere windows are gone from my toolbar but everthing els id still there. like explorere is crashing.

forgot to mention but after it happens once it doesnt seem to happen agian for a while or until my next boot up.

If the problem just started try a system restore.
Also,If you have your XP disc handy, maybe try a sfc /scannow
It will replace corrupted files.
