My sons PC had to user accounts/profiles set up on it. I forgot to enable "password never expires" and he didnt tell me the password was expiring. Now, when you boot up and you get to the blue screen that had the 2 user profiles, there isnt anything. How can I get to the desktop to re enable a profile?

Boot up in Safe Mode and go into the Aministrators account. You can then change the User profiles from there.
Of course you need to know the Asministrators password that was set up when the OS was installed.

Thanks stuart. I cant remember when i upgraded his box to XP if there was time to create the "administrator" account during the upgrade or not. I will try some of the typical names and passwords I use for myself. Thanks
