Comment:

Everything was okay before yesterday.

when i start my computer, everything looks fine, but after 5 minutes or so, when i try to open any .exe (program files), they seems to open (mouse pointer shows busy sign)but nothing happens.
but all the opened program and windows explorer works okay.
(only when i try to open "temp internet files" to clear it, pc seems to hang but i can browse all the others at the same time by clicking "my computer" )

suddenly after few more minutes , everything starts to work usually (all the pending program i tried to opens altogether on a sudden) till i restart PC.

razz, It wouldn't hurt to go to the link below and scroll down to line 12 (left column) and click on "EXE (lnk and regfile) Fix for Windows XP" to download a reg file fix. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.

You could also try s System Resrore to the closest date prior to the start of this problem. Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

what you describe indicated cpu activity, so much so that other apps don't get started until the first ones finish.

All the signs of a malware/spyware infection.

Update and run your spyware checker

Review your startup programs via msconfig

Imagine the power of knowing how to internet search

Sorry for late reply.

I use netropa internet keyboard driver for my mck-800 multimedia keyboard(10 + 4 MPlayer keys).

it contains a suspicious file "ikbupd.exe"(details: ... keyboard and mouse driver update) which quite often starts automatically and takes 3/4 MB of ram. When i stop the process , new programs i try to start next , starts little slowly.

can anyone tell me about any other alternative driver. I actually need something that is just enough to operate MMedia buttons. But this MMKB drivers often contains extra feature like mailcheck, internet keyboard etc.

I think this MMKB driver is the root of all problems, 'cause when i uninstall this s---, I got no problem.

THANKX
