Excel VBA match and align cells

I have two columns of info that i need to sort alphabetically, matching up cells that are the same and leaving gaps where not. e.g:

Start with:

aa bb
cc aa
aa dd
dd dd

end with:
aa aa
aa
bb
cc
dd dd
dd

Example should be( the "__" are just to seprate the example columns):-

Start with:

aa___bb
cc___aa
aa___dd
dd___dd

end with:
aa___aa
aa___
_____bb
cc___
dd___dd
_____dd
