Every time I reboot the video resolution changes

Specs: Windows XP Professional 32 bits, Atholn 64 X2 4000+ / 4Gb DDR2
I just bought a Ge-Force GT 520 and a Syncmaster TA550 monitor, and they're connected using a HDMI cable. I installed the video drivers, than the monitor driver and setup the resolution to 1920x1080. Every time I reboot or shutdown & bring it back up, the resolution changes. I can not even see the text on the "welcome" screen. When the desktop shows up, I got giant icons.
To fix it I have to go to resolution settings, adjust it to something smaller than 1920x1080, then set it back up to 1920x1080. And I have to that after any reboot or shutdown/power up operation.
I used the latest driver for my video adapter (from manufacture web site), but I still had the same issue
Tried the same video card & monitor under Ubuntu & Windows 7. And it worked fine for both. But I don't have all the things I want form Ubuntu & Windows 7 slows my PC down.

The monitor driver was unnecessary. And you should be using this graphics driver:

I also suspect monitor driver is a problem & i don't see a reason for win 7 to run slow.

You know the real meaning of peace only if you have been through the war.

Okay try this.
1.Click on Start, right click on My Computer
2.Go to hardware Tab
3.Device manager
4.Go down until you get system devices
5.Scroll down until you get the PCI bus driver
6.Right click uninstall ,after that it would ask you to restart the pc say yes
7.After the restart then you going to have to reinstall some of your drivers ..get back and tell us if it worked..
