Every app twice in Taskbar

I run into a very annoying problem with WinXP taskbar: every application appears twice in it. (See pic behind link #1). I tried to follow instructions I found for the similiar problem. The advice was to click the edge of the second bar with right mouse button and choose 'Close Toolbar'. But as you can see in the picture behind the second link, there is no such option.
There is also one toolbar just ghosting around (seen on both screenshots). The one on right is language bar witch is ment to be there...
Has anyone had similiar problem and survived it? Thanks a lot already!

Try Lockign the taskbar, and disabling quicklaunch and whatever may be ticked when you right click on the taskbar. It is a shadowing effect, which just means there is something dodgy with the page file. If you have SATA, then this problem is could definitely be because of he page fault.

Yep, I do have SATA hard disk drive (though WinXP isn't on it [yet]; it's still on IDE drive...). Originally I had paging file on SATA drive and everything worked great. Yesterday I played with the paging file and disabled it. Now I chose all the options as they were but still the problem occurs.
I'll keep on trying.. Thanks a lot this far!

Try running sfc.exe, in the deploy.cab file in the i386 folder of your cd

Or simply run it from the Start menu:
SFC /SCANNOW

true. sfc is designed to match the program structure directly off the cd without chaning the registry values. As long as the xp cd is there, you shud be ok

Thanks you all, but I'm still having the same prob..
I tried all your advices but nothing helped. I have tried to move the paging file from disk to disk with fixed size and with letting win deside the size. I have even tried without the paging file (I also removed the paging.sys files from disks).
sfc.exe didn't help either. Any other advices? =P I think I'm going to install WinXP again... this time to the SATA drive.. prkl =)
