evasive video driver

E-machine / T3985
January 21, 2009 at 15:43:31
Specs: xp pro x86, 512mb
So ive downloaded this driver probably 10+ times now from different sources and none load. As far as i can tell it is an "Intel Extreme Graphics2 3D."

The only solution i can see is one of those driver programs that checks to see what you have, but ive never liked those and would prefer if one of you folks could point me in the right directions.

The computer is an E-Machine T3985, and not mine. otherwise id upgrade.

thx jam, i had checked the e-machines website, their download was the incorrect one, and as for your links, i had tried both already. I actually fixed the problem by simply getting a installer via some driver site, and lo and behold it actually worked. Thanks for you quick reply though, the gentleman who ownes this computer is on his way over right now O.o

weird though cause ie never had this much trouble with driver problems sence the upgrade from win95-98...

Hate to add salt to the wound but stand by for more problems, esp with the power supply.
My advice, back-up frequently:>(
