My computer doesn't go online. Its brand new! I was told it is missing Ethernet software. I can plug the cat5 in but I am not getting any connection. I wnet to DEVICES and the ethernet list had ?
s in it. What exactly do I need to ask for at the store or can I download it for free?

If your computer is brand new, you should have driver installation disk --- that`s what you need...just install the drivers and you`re good to go...

I thought, if there was a ? in device manager, there is no
driver.You need this,
I don't know if this will work, look at network adapter
properties, somewhere you might find a vendor id,check here http://www.pcidatabase.com/vendors....
to find the manufacturer.
Or, google for unidentified hardware there might be a program
to identify it. Or, go back to where you bought it.Belarc or Sisoft sandra might identify the network card.
