Ethernet Drivers

December 2, 2009 at 07:59:45
Specs: Windows XP
I tried to reinstall XP and after installing, I am unable to install ADSL Modem. It says Ethernet adaptor is not available or drivers are not installed. I am unable to install the drivers as it is not available in the CD. Also I am unable to find the driver name and model. It is a branded HP machine and if anyone can help me out, Id be grateful. Thanks.

Search on HPs site for the model number of your computer. They will have all the drivers for the hardware that came with that computer.

Download the drivers using a different computer and then burn to disk or copy to USB stick. Then install to the host computer.

Next time have the necessary drivers available on disk ahead of time.

If you had used the HP restore disks the network adapter work have been configured. This is assuming WinXP is what originally came pre-installed.

read carefully ADSL Modem's Manufacturer Co. and Model No. Put these names in Google or other search engine.
Target to search manufacturer's web page search here particular model's driver.
Download and install that into your PC.

khalidkhan1: The problem isn't missing drivers for the ADSL modem, you don't need drivers for those as they communicate by network. The problem is he's missing drivers for his network card so that his computer can be on a network.

um...what`s your motherboard model ?

If you don`t know, please download Astra32, install it, go to "System summary'' on the left and find "Board" on the right....( a pic )

Then post back...
