Errors even after reinstalling winXP

Specs: Windows XP
Let me explain in detail abt my prob.I
installed XP in C and some prob happened.So
i installed it in K : so nw i had two os to
boot.My lap was workin fine until last week
wen i bought a wireless usb broadband
device.Within two days, my system became cmd.exe tmp1982.exe
viruses were runnin in the process. So i again
reinstalled XP in K:.Within few days,after
loggin in the system restarts with memory
dump error 0x0000f4 and the error is even
appearing in safe mode.When i tried
repairing,there is no k:,but its F: I performed
chkdsk /p command and it had errors in two
partitions.I have very important data in hard
disk which i cant loose.Please help me out.
One more thing is i had two XP OS boot
available and i could login through the initially
installed XP. Only in the latest installed XP
boot,the error is displayed.

swami007, SWAG, suspect you have a worm/trojan.
Be aware that a virus and a Trojan are similar, but not the same. Many times, an AV detects one it can't clean, other times, it gets missed entirely.
If you need to clean one, Superantispyware (info only. I’m not paid for recommendation) can do the job and you can get it free @:
among other places. They have a Vista compatible version if needed Dunno about Windows 7..
If it turns out that you need to use it, be sure to update Superantispyware prior to running and disable 'restore' (restart after cleaning) so the nasty doesn't get put back. They just released a new update recently and it changes all the time. Things are in a constant state of flux.
The restore thing is critical. May not be your deal at all, but won't hurt anything to try.
