Specs: Windows XP

I can no longer access a network share drive.
I can able to access the H drive which is my documetns.
I mapped a shared location to my Z drive and get the following error:
Error: " Z:\
The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in Folder option Control panel. "

Tried mapping it to differnt drive and also disconnect and reconnected.
Still the same

Also tried with enable/disable the Hide extension for know file types and Hide protected operated system files"

Not sure what exactly to add/check on the Folder options.

Help me on this.

1. is this a Network Attached Storage (NAS) or a server?
2. does the remote share exist?
3. do you have permissions to access it?
4. can you access the share via UNC path?

firslty check the Network Drive (is it active, does it work,...)
secondly look at you PC.
