Error when copying C master drive

I am having trouble copying my C (master drive 20GB) to a new drive 100GB. I am using Ghost and each time I try it fails giving me an error ‘The Remote Procedure Call Failed’ What does it mean? I managed to copy my other drives ok but when trying to do the C drive this happens. I have tried contacting Symantec on their chat line for the last 3 days and each time they tell me to try something different. I have even looked at the Microsoft web help page. THIS IS DRIVING ME INSAINE NOW. CAN ANY BODY OUT THERE HELP ME PLEASE?

Out of curiosity are you running Ghost from a boot disk or booting from the C drive and doing it in Windows?

Run chkdsk on the drive to see if it finds any problems.
And I suggest running Ghost from DOS using the CD or floppies.

Just want to say thanks to you all apart from Microsoft Support. They were no help. The copy went through fine. Someone on this web sugested downloading Maxtor MaxBlast and HEH it worked a treat. THANKS
