Do other tray icons appear in the tray or do you get non at all?

Assuning that other tray icons appear the first thing to do is to find out which application that is loading at boot up is causing the problem. That can be done by a process of elimination. CrapCleaner has a function to disable start up items until you eliminate the message.

Once you have discovered which application is casing the problem then contact the vendors and tell them there is a problem.

If no tray icons appear when you are expecting them, then you have a more serious problem.

yes, the others tray icons appear!

ufff, after some reboots i could isolate the application that caused the error. since i'm a java me developer i have the java me sdk 3.0 installed on my notebook and while system booting the system try to start the device-manager.exe of the java me. after deactivating this app in the ccleaner the error desappered.

the real cause is yet unknown, since i could start the device-manager.exe without problems and an icon appeared. i will try to uninstall and reinstall the app again.

anywhy, thank you a lot for the strategy with ccleaner.

"Error occured: Canot register tray icon. Error: 1460"

I get this message on startup since today. What I changed last time was that I deaktivated the Updates in the Java Control Panel (Win7 64-bit). I'll change it back and see what happens ; )

regards, Björn
